Hi friend,
The following is your answer. I'm giving you only one example, it should help you well enough to write another one or two paragraphs before you go to the conclusion.
Even with my much meager knowledge, I can confidently assert that 'Private tuitions are a necessary evil'. These private tuitions are here to stay even though they are evil. As long as we have our present system of education and exams, as long as we lay undue stress on marks and percentages, as long as we have lakhs appearing for competitive entrance exams, parents and students will have to run to private tutors.
Today even the best of students need guidance and have to know the art of tackling questions in any exam. Schools have too many students in a class. Some schools do not have enough or competent teachers to cope with 45-50 students. So parents are left with no choice but to seek the aid of private tutors and tuitions.
In every city private tuitions are growing in number. People advertise for tutors. Admission in the best coaching schools is extremely expensive and difficult. It is so shocking to see parents taking their 3 yrs old to coaching classes for admissions to nursery schools!
Private tuition and coaching classes have become an important part of a student's life. The popularity of private tuition is indeed a direct fallout of and testament to the inefficient system of education in the country where there is a premium on academic excellence. This evil may have affected the childhood of the children. Nevertheless it has helped to shape their future careers by making them good professionals in their chosen field.
Hope it helps!

Private tuitions are institutions which offer academic coaching for students apart from the training given at their schools. The existence of these institutions is questioned by many. They debate whether it is correct on the parents’ part to send their children to such places. I do believe that these institutions and the servicestheyprovide are overpriced, but I do not believe that they should be done away with. On the contrary, I believe that students sometimes do need help with their academic work. That’s when private tuitions step in and give thema helping hand.Gone are thedayswhen the onlyvocation of an average student was studies. Today, apart from academics, students are madeto partake in many activities. They are allottedmarks for participation in sports and for creative activities such as drawing, painting, dancing and singing. The studentshave a lot on their plate and often find itdifficult to give undivided attention towards studies. Schools expect them to be all-rounders who excel at everything they do. Under such circumstances, it would be helpful for the studentsto receive some help for their studies.Schools mainly function on the efficiency of their teaching staff. Many schools are understaffed. Hence, they find it difficult to cater to each student individually. It is difficult to address academic problems of the studentsat a personal level. Therefore, students need to turn to someone for their problems. Private tuitions usually have a favourable student–teacherratio. The private tutor can help the studentswith their studies and give them undivided attention. The tutor can manage the studentsat a micro level and monitor theirprogress at a closer range. When it comes to studies, having a private tutor also gives the studentsa variety in learning. Tutors cangive students fresh perspectives in learning as compared to the techniques taught in schools. They nurture the students’ thirst for knowledge away from the noisy din of their classrooms. Private tuitions provide an environment where the studentscan express their doubts without any inhibitions or the fear of ridicule. It is therefore a boon for introverted students who often feel shy in class. I strongly believe that private tuitions should exist alongside academic institutions such as schools and colleges because it provides an alternative to classroom education and can bolster the child’s confidence in academics. Though the very existence of private tutoring points to the inadequacies in our academic institutions, I do not
ICSEX| English LanguageBoard Paper -2011 -that “Private tuitions are anecessary evil”. On the contrary, I believe that these institutions destroy the very spirit of learning which is innate in every child. Private tutoring involves employing a coach to train the student in the comfort of the students’ home. They have fancy degrees and often charge an exorbitant amount of money for less than 20 hours in a month. I oppose this practise for severalreasons. I believe that it gives undue advantage to a privileged child as compared to his lessprivileged counterpart. It is unfortunate that with money somebody is given an edge over the others. In a world where opportunities are rare, the underprivileged student may never geta chance to come up in life because the rich student has access and the meansto them. It alsodestroys the ability of the child to think forhimself. By being spoon fed by the tutor, the childrefuses to make any effort on his own. The innate ability to question and ponder isdestroyed by the private tutor. The child will then become unnaturally dependent on the tutor forhis academic needs. It promotes the idea that nothing can be earned in life and onlybought. The children internalisethe wrong notionthat success can be bought and not earned.Tutors also swindle parents by chargingexorbitant amountsof money to tutor studentsfor less than 20hours a month. Some parents foolishly trust such people and expect them to miraculously improve their children’s grades. The value of school teachers also diminishes in the eyes of the students. They do not respect the teachers and may not pay attention in class because they believe thattheir academic success is safe in the hands of their private tutors.Owing to these reasons, I strongly oppose the practice of private tutoring. I urge the studentsto study independently without taking help from these so-calledt utors.
