the poem bangle sellers is a descriptive poem by Sarojini Naidu who describes in the poem the indianness and is a poem describing the love , faith , and traditions the traditional and typical indian women holds in her heart

the poem focuses on These aspects
⚫ description of the journey of a female from her youth to her middle age

⚪this has been tried to portray by using the variety of bangles which hold a really special place in every women's life

⚫the bangles have been compared to tokens or elements of traditional ethics and values of India and has been observed to portray indianness

⚪in addition to this - Sarojini Naidu also uses various similes to explain the youthful appearance and vigor of a maiden to mountain mist and new born leaves and buds.. and compares bangles for them in same manner

⚫the bangles for a newly wed bride to be of flaming colours like her marriage fire and new dreams

⚪the bangles of a woman whose journeyed through life midway to be of gold flecked grey and purple colour - describing her faith , love and satisfaction

⚫hence, we can justify the writing of this poem to be based on the then going war of independence in India - a small thing like bangles has been described in such a way to please and marvel at by everyone!

in the first stanza the bangle sellers are selling their merchandise in the temple fair. here the sellers are investing themselves in the bangles to sell them to the people in able to feed their families and try their hardest by touting.
in the second stanza there are bangles of silver and blue which are meant for a maiden-an unmarried girl. the girl dreams of marriage and are about to enter womanhood and becomes excited and starts to blushed like the flowers that are about to bloom.the girl here is compared to a bud of a flower.
in the third stanza, there are bangles which are yellow golden meant for her on the day of her marriage and some are in red-the color which resembles her heart's desire but it will also be a sad day for she has to leave her loved ones behind and stay in her husband's home
In the 4th stanza, there are bangles which are purple and gold which are meant for a mother who has journeyed through her life and comes in the middle stage.
