A girl bought a linen cloth of length 256m. She decided to cut the cloth into pieces of 4m length from quarter part. From remaining part of the cloth she would be making 3m length pieces. The time taken to make a single cut is 3 seconds. Then the total time taken by her to finish her job will be:

No.of cuts of 4 m required=64/4=16

Time taken for 4 m cuts=16×3=48 sec

Remaining part=3×64=192

No.of 3m cuts=192/3=64

Time taken for 3m cuts=3×64=192 sec

Total time taken=48+192=240 sec=4 minutes
