Given

  • Distance = 1320 m
  • Velocity = 330 m/s

To Find

  • Time taken

Solution

Speed = Distance/Time

Time taken for the sound to hit the cliff :

→ Speed = Distance/Time

→ 330 = 1320/Time

→ Time = 1320/330

→ Time = 4 sec

  • We know that after hitting the cliff the sound has to reflect and come back again to the ears of the girl of she had to hear the echo

→ Speed = Distance/Time

→ 330 = 1320/Time

→ Time = 1320/330

→ Time = 4 sec

Total Time :

→ Total Time = Time taken to reflect + Time taken to reach the girl back

→ Total Time = 4 + 4

→ Total Time = 8 sec

Given:-

A girl claps and hears the echo after reflection from a cliff which is 1320 meter away from her..

The velocity of sound is 330 m/s

To Find:-

Calculate the time taken for hearing the echo?...

Solution:-

To Find Time taken: -

We know,

Time Taken = Time of Sending + Time of receiving

Time taken = 1320 / 330 + 1320 / 330

Time taken = 4 + 4

Time taken = 8 seconds

Hence, the time taken for hearing the echo is 8 seconds...
