why not to get too familiar is incorrect ?

Answer:I’m not sure what you mean by “too familiar” so my answer is based on my interpretation. I equate the idea of being “too familiar” as being like the “teacher’s pet.” If you become too close to your supervisor, your co-workers may begin to resent you and think that any raises or promotions that you receive are because of your relationship rather than your ability. They may also become reluctant to discuss offices issues with you for fear that you will report back to your boss, and they may start to keep their distance in general to avoid any negative consequences of their interactions with you.
On the other hand, being “too familiar” could refer to being overly friendly with everyone in the office and not just the supervisor. While it is desirable to have a good working relationship with your colleagues, keep it professional, especially if you are a woman. Otherwise, your co-workers may begin to see you as the “mom” in the group, especially if you frequently bring cookies or brownies or other treats to work. As unfair as it is, this “mothering” kind of behavior actually detracts from your professionalism, and your colleagues may begin to take you less seriously. In their minds, you have become too sweet and lovable to be competent.
