Let the father age be 'x'
girl's age = x - 28
sum of ages = girl's age + father age = 50
put in a equation
( x-28)+ x = 50
x + x = 50+28
2x = 78
x = 78/2
x= 39
so the father's age is 39 year old and
the girl's age= x- 28
= 39.- 28
= 11 years old
girl's age = x - 28
sum of ages = girl's age + father age = 50
put in a equation
( x-28)+ x = 50
x + x = 50+28
2x = 78
x = 78/2
x= 39
so the father's age is 39 year old and
the girl's age= x- 28
= 39.- 28
= 11 years old
