Hey Friend,

Question: A girl moves with the speed of 3 kilometre per hour for 1 hour and 2 km per hour for another 1 hour now find the average speed of the girl and the total distance covered by her

Solution:

Average speed = total distance covered/ total time taken

Total distance covered= distance covered in first one hour + distance                                                                                         covered in second one hour

Total time taken = 1 +1=2 hours

Distance= speed x time

Distance covered in first one hour = 3x1 =3km

Distance covered in second one hour = 2 x 1 = 2km

Total distance covered = 3 + 2 = 5 km

Average speed = 5/2 = 2.5 km/h
