vat = cost price - market price
= 28500 - 26000
= 2500 rs

vat℅ = vat/mp×100

= 2500/26000×100
= 9.62℅(approx)

price of fridge=28500
MP of fridge= 26000
VAT=28500-26000
VAT=2500
formula applied=VAT*100/MP
Therefore, rate of VAT will be = 2500*100/26000
rate of VAT=9.62%

pranshu81: it's 9.62 i think
pranshu81: or 9.7
pmaheshwari: yup
pmaheshwari: 9.62
pmaheshwari: pihuu
pihuuu50: thnx
