Answer:

To reach her home ,she need to walk in her west direction for 5 more feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A girl ran 20ft westward after pet dog, found dog turned left and ran 15ft.

again ran for 25ft turning left. Caught the dog when it ran another 8ft on its right.

then she walked straight 23ft in opposite direction.

To find the distance to reach her home and the direction.

Solution:

The girl ran 20ft westward after her dog and turned left ,ran 15ft again.

So starting from her west side 20ft turned left and now she moved in south direction for 15ft.

Again dog ran on its left and she followed for 25ft means she ran in east direction for 25ft.

From there again the dog ran in its right side and she catched it only after the dog ran 8ft means from east she turned right, that is, towards south direction and ran 8ft.

she walked straight in the opposite direction 23ft means she walked backwards same 8ft  and 15ft , 8+15=23ft towards north.

Therefore, to reach home she should move in her west direction and 5 more feet she have to walk.
