A girl starts walking from her house and travels 10km due east. She then travels a distance of 12km towards south and finally travels a distance of 15km eastwards. Find the appropriate distance between her house and the final destination

According to the question a girl starts walking for her house

travels 10 km to east,

then 12 km to south,

then 15 km to east.

to solve this question we will draw lines as the question stated

see the picture below:

total 10 + 15 = 25 Km she traveled in East ( it becomes our Base )

and 12 km to south ( it becomes our Perpendicular )

Now, we will find our Hypotenuse ( distance between house and the girl )

using Pythagoras Theorem

(Hypotenuse)² = (Perpendicular)² + (Base)²

Hypotenuse = √Perpendicular²+Base²
