a girl travels 70 meters in 15 seconds and 360 meters in 45 seconds and 400 meters in 60 seconds . calculate average speed

sujjawal: total distance= 830 metres and total time taken= 120 seconds. As we know that the formula of average speed is total distance travelled by body ÷ total time taken. So, 830÷120 = 6.91

Hey there!

Total distance = (70+360+400) meters = 830 meters
Total time = (15+45+60) seconds = 120 seconds

We know,
Average speed = total distance / total time
                         = 830/120
                         = 83/12
                         = 6.9 m/s

Hope It Helps You!

As we know that
Average speed= Total distance travelled /Total time taken.
Therefore, total distance covered =70+360+400=830 meters and total time taken = 15+45+60=120 seconds .
Therefore ,the average speed (v) =
830meters /120sec=6.92m/s( approximately)
