Nitrosomonas bacteria first convert nitrogen gas to nitrite (NO2-) and subsequently nitrobacter convert nitrite to nitrate (NO3-), a plant nutrient. Plants absorb ammonium and nitrate during the assimilation process, after which they are converted into nitrogen-containing organic molecules, such as amino acids and DNA.

1)For Assimilation of nitrogen...nitrogen cant be assimilated in soil and cant be taken by plant in N2 form...so nitrogen is converted to nitrate for easy assimilation and uptaking

2)Man made compound just like CFC which has some work in refrigerator... have ability to combine with ozone..and result in ozone dedepletion

3) Lichen only grow in non pollutant region as Delhi is more polluted than Darjeeling so lichen grow in Darjeeling

5) Carbon dioxide are taken by plant and converted into starch(which act as food for plant cell) and oxygen(which was released)..but in human carbon dioxide combine with Haemoglobin which is oxygen carrying protein of blood...and form carbaminohaemoglobin which stop the transport of oxygen in our body

so Carbon dioxide is necessary for plants but we consider it as a pollutant.
