1.... The material used for fuse has low melting point to prevent the electric circuit from fire. If due to some reasons the flow of current exceeds the heat produced in it melts it and disconnect from the power supply.

2....It is recommended to use air tight container for storing oil for long time in order to avoid the problem of rancidity. Rancidity is the condition produced by aerial oxidation of fats and oils marked by unpleasant smell and taste.

3....Sodium is a highly reactive metal and reacts vigorously with the oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture present in the air such that it may even cause a fire. To prevent this explosive reaction, Sodium is kept immersed in kerosene because Sodium doesn't react with kerosene.
