Person performing given experiment will see the light but will not hear sound.

The experiment proves the fact that light does not require medium to travel while sound does.

Light is a photon made of electromagnetic radiation which can travel through three ways namely, refraction, reflection and absorption.

Sound on other hand requires conducting medium for propagation. Due to vacuum, no medium is provided hence sound waves do not travel.

Speed of light is 3*10^8 m/s and speed of sound in air is 343 m/s.
