Given ratio- 1:9. in a mixture. let x be amount of silver present in mixture and let 9x be the amount of gold present in the mixture . therefore, x+9x=60. 10x=60. . x=60/10=6. therefore amount of silver present=6 grams. and gold =60-6=54 grams

Answer:

54 grams

step by step explanation :

let let the common term be x

ratio of ratio of gold and silver that goldsmith mixes = 1:9

sum of the ratio = 1x + 9x

= 10x

According to question

10x = 60g

x = 60g/10

x = 6g

Amount of gold = 6g × 1

= 6g Ans.

Amount of silver = 6g × 9

= 54g Ans.
