A gramophone disc rotates at 60rpm. A coin of mass 18g is placed at a distance of 8cm from the centre. Calculate centrifugal force on the coin

hello,
we know that F=mv²/r
where m is mass v is velocity r is distance from the centre
given the disc is rotating at 60RPM
i.e. 60 rotation per minute
rotation per second will 1 rotation per minute
rps(radian per second) is angular velocity(ω)
now,ω=2π×rps(radian per second)
linear velocity(v)=ω×radius
here radius is 8cm=8/100m
1×8/100 m/s
v=8/100m/s
now F=18×(8/100)²/8/100
F=18×8/100
F=1.44N
therefore centripetal force will be 1.44N
