If two cross roads each of width 'w' units , run at right angles through the centre of rectangular path of length 'l' units and breadth 'b' units , then
the area of total path =(width of path)(length of the park + breadth of the park -width of path)
=w(l+b-w)
Using this formula
From given data
l=100m
b=80m
w=5m
Area of the total path=w(l+b-w)
=5(100+80-5)
=5×175
=875 square meters
the area of total path =(width of path)(length of the park + breadth of the park -width of path)
=w(l+b-w)
Using this formula
From given data
l=100m
b=80m
w=5m
Area of the total path=w(l+b-w)
=5(100+80-5)
