A grocer wants to make tin boxes without lid for storing rice. The dimensions of the box are 40cm,40cm, 1metre.how much area of tin sheet will he require to make 5 such boxes?

Ar. of tin required to make 1 box=2(lh+bh)+lb

=2[(40×100)+(40×100)]+(40×40)

=88000cm^2
