Dear diary,

Today we went to Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet the president of India, the man who holds the most powerful position in the world, Ram Nath Kovind! That experience was one of the most exciting and inspirational moments in my life and we felt very grateful and humbled to have been given the opportunity to do so.The president was very friendly, personable and genuine person. When he was speaking to us, it was clear that he really valued our opinions and wanted to answer questions in the way most helpful to us. He kept the mood light, making jokes, and it was great to see the genuine, funny and compassionate person behind all of the public appearances and policy decisions. He showed us his cabin and told us many things about his past and our country which we never knew about. We also saw the interior of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, it was incredibly beautiful, heaven couldn’t be better than this.  We rose to our feet and some student’s jaws even dropped. It was time for us to head back to school. Though, I wished I could spend my entire life looking at the beauty of our country and endlessly talk to our president. I knew my wish couldn’t be made true. But sometimes it’s better to just let some things go. They’re just meant to be memories and I’m so glad, I could get to meet our president. So when he made his rounds shaking hands, and got to me, I moved past his hand and I embraced him with a hug. I wanted the president to understand that we are here to support him in every good decision he makes for us. Now I have to close my eyes as it has been such a tiring day. Goodnight !
