SoluTion :-

No. of parts of Copper = 22

No. of parts of Tin = 2.5

No. of parts of Zinc = 0.5

Total no. of parts = 22 + 2.5 + 0.5 = 25

\mathrm {Percentage\ of\ Copper =\frac{22}{25} \times 100}\\\\\mathrm {=22 \times 4}\\\\\mathrm {=88 \ \%}

______

\mathrm {Percentage\ of\ Tin=\frac{2.5}{25} \times 100}\\\\\mathrm {=2.5 \times 4}\\\\\mathrm {=10 \ \%}

______

\mathrm {Percentage \ of \ Zinc = \frac{0.5}{25}\times 100}\\\\\mathrm {=0.5 \times 4}\\\\\mathrm {= 2 \ \%}

Thus,

Percentage of Copper = 88 %

Percentage of Tin = 10 %

Percentage of Zinc = 2 %

Step-by-step explanation:

Question:-

A gun metal piece consists of 22 parts of copper,2.5 parts of tin and 0.5part of zinc.find the percentage of each metal?

Solution:-

We Have,

 \bf \: parts \: of \: copper  \red{= 22 }\\  \\ \bf \: parts \: of \:tin \red{ = 2.5} \\  \\ \bf \: parts \: of \: zinc \red{ =0.5}

Find It

the percentage of each metal?.

total Parts:-

  \bf \: copper  + tin + zinc \\  \\  \bf \red{ putting \: the \: parts }\\  \\  \bf \: 22 + 2.5 + 0.5 =  \red{25}

  \bf \: \frac{100}{25}  = 4\% \: each \: parts

so,

 \bf \: copper \: 22 \times 4  \red{= 88\%} \\  \bf \: tin \: 2.5 \times 4 \red{ =  10\%} \\  \bf  zinc \: 0.5 \times 4 \red{ = 2\%}
