Answer:

The largest tile is 25 \bold{m^2} and No. of tiles is 90 tiles.

Given:

Hall long, l = 50 m

Hall broad, b = 45 m

To find:

Largest tile and No. of tiles.

Solution:

H.C.F of the hall “length” and “breadth” is

50=2 \times 5 \times 5

45=3 \times 3 \times 5

And the H.C.F of the numbers 45 and 50 is 5

The H.C.F of the “length and breadth” is the side of the square tile.

Therefore, the square tile area is =5 \times 5=25 \ m^{2}

\text{No. of tile} =\frac{\text {Area of the ractangle}}{\text {Area of the square tile}}

=\frac{50 \times 45}{25}

=\frac{2250}{25}

\text{No. of tile} = 90 \ \text{tiles}
