Meiosis-2 is just like mitosis.IN this stage, the 2 haploid daughter cells formed in meiosis-1 undergo division by separation of recombined sister chromatids and spore formation occurs by meiosis.in this type cell division , 4 haploid (n) daughter cells are formed from one diploid (2n) cell.

A haploid parent like Monera, fungi, algae and bryophytes produce gametes by mitotic division. ... In such organisms(diploid), specialized cells called meiocytes (gamete mother cell) undergo meiosis,At the end of meiosis only one set of chromosomes gets incorporated into each gamete.
