Given :-

⇒diameter = 24m = d

⇒radius = d/2 = 12m = r

⇒height = 35m = h

To find :-

a) Volume of the cone shaped heap

a) Volume of the cone shaped heapb) CSA of cone ( Area of canvas required )

Solution:-

a) Vol. of cone = ⅓πr²h

⇒V = 1/3 × 22/7 × 12 × 12 × 35

V =  \frac{22 \times 144 \times 5}{3}  \\  \\  = 22 \times 48 \times 5 \\  \\  = 22 \times 240 \\  \\ V =  \boxed{5280 {m}^{3} }

b) CSA of cone = πrl

⇒CSA = 22/7 × 12 × 35

CSA =  \frac{22 \times 12 \times 35}{7 \times 3}  \\  \\  = 22 \times 20 \\  \\  \boxed{440 {m}^{2} }

Answers we got :-

⇒Volume of cone shaped heap = 5280 m³

⇒CSA of cone shaped heap (area of canvas) = 440m²
