We know p = mv where, p is the momentum, m is the mass and v is the velocity of a body.

The mass of a heavy truck is much more than that of bicycle. So by the above formula we find that the momentum of the truck is much more than that of a bicycle. So on hitting a wall the heavy truck causes damages to a greater extent than the bicycle.
