Answer:
Let R, r be the external and internal radii of the hemispherical hollow.
GIVEN : External diameter = 14cm bowl,
External radius R = 7cm
Volume of the
hollow hemispherical bowl = 436π/3 Cu.cm
2/3 π(R^3 - r^3) = 436π/3
2/3 π(7^3 - r^3) = 436π/3
343 - r^3 = 436π/3 × 3/2π
343 - r^3 = 218
r^3 = 343 - 218 = 125
r^3 - 5^3 =>>>>> r = 5cm
- Internal radius r = 5cm
- Thickness = R - r = 7 - 5 = 2cm
∴ Thickness = 2cm.
