Thickness = 0.25 cm

Inner radius = 5 cm

=> Outer radius = 5 + 0.25

=> Outer CSA = 2πR²

(R = outer radius)

=> Outer CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 5.25 × 5.25

=> outer CSA = 173.25 cm²

Total Surface area = Outer CSA + inner CSA

inner CSA = 2πr²

=> inner CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 5 × 5

=> inner CSA = 154.14 cm² (approx)

=> TSA = 173.25 + 154.14

=> TSA = 327.39 cm²

Volume = Inner volume

= 2/3 × πr³

= 2/3 × 22/7 × 5³

= 261.9 cm³ (approx)

Here is your solutions

Given :-

A hemispherical is made of steel :-

Thickness = 0.25 cm

Inner radius(r) = 5 cm

=> Outer radius (R) = 5 + 0.25

To find total surface area and volume :-

Firstly we will find outer csa:-

=> Outer CSA = 2πR²

=> CSA Of outer surface =2πR²

=2 × 22/7 × 5.25 × 5.25

=173.25 cm²

Now we will find inner csa:-

=>inner CSA = 2πr²
=> inner CSA = 2×22/7×5 ×5

=> inner CSA = 154.14 cm² (approx)

Total Surface area of hemisphere= sum of Outer CSA and inner CSA

I.e
Total Surface area of hemisphere=outer csa +inner csa.

=> TSA = 173.25 + 154.14
=> TSA = 327.39 cm²
Hence

Total Surface area of hemisphere = 327.39cm²✔

We know that

Volume of hemisphere = 2/3 × πr³

= 2/3 × 22/7 × 5³
= 261.9 cm³

Hence

Volume of hemisphere = 261.9cm³✔

sprao534: what about the area of the ring width?
sprao534: another doubt, volume of hemisphere means volume of solid or hollow part?
