To Find :

find the total cost of tiles at the rate of Rs 18 per tiles

Solution:

Length of room = 9.68 m

Width of room = 6.2 m

Area of floor =$Length \times Breadth = 9.68 \times 6.2 =60.016 m^2$

Length of tile = 20 cm = 0.2

Breadth of tile = 11 cm = 0.11 m

Area of tile $= 0.2 \times 0.11=0.022 m^2$

No. of tiles required = $\frac{60.016}{0.022}=2728$

Cost of 1 tile = rs.18

Cost of 2728 tiles =$2728 \times 18 =49104$

Hence The total cost of tiles at the rate of Rs 18 per tiles is Rs.49104
