In the ' legend of Northland ' the lady is selfish and bakes thin and small cakes for Saint Peter.  Saint Peter gets angry and curses her to become a woodpecker.  I believe that a holy man should not curse a lady unless the crime is too serious.  Cursing the lady for baking thin cakes and being selfish shows arrogance on the part of the holy man.   He must have used these powers responsibly and warned the lady instead.

Answer:

A holy man is known for his wisdom. He teaches moral lessons to the people wheather they are liberal or greedy. All are equal in his eyes. In the present poem saint peter is a holy man. He is also famous for his preaching. He has preached and travelled a lot. so, he is hungry. He asks the lady for some food but she doesn't share her food with him. finally, the saint becomes angry and curse's her. In fact, he should have shown some mercy and the example of his wisdom. Therefore, it is appropriate to say that a holy man should not curse the lady
