A horizontal force of 5 N acts on a block of mass of 10 kg kept on a rough horizontal surface. The coefficient of friction between the block and the rough surface is 0.3. Find the magnitude of frictional force acting between them. (g=10 m/s²)

find the limiting friction.
limiting friction= 0.3 × 10 × 10 = 30 N

Since applied horizontal force is less than limiting friction, the friction is same as the horizontal force which is 5N

Answer is B

It's 30 N

F= coefficient of friction *normal force

F=0.3*100

F=30N
