Answer:

Water will strike wall at 12.32 m height

Explanation:

A hose shoots a stream of water at an angle of 60° the horizontal with a velocity of 20 m/s. Water will strike a wall

at a distance of 10 m at a height

(a) 5.36 m

(b) 10.22 m

*(c) 12.42 m

(d) 16.84 m

Velocity of Water = 20 m/s at an angle of 60°

=> Horizontal Velocity = 20Cos60 = 10 m/s

Distance of Wall = 10 m

Time Taken = 10/10 = 1 sec

Vertical Velocity = 20Sin60 = 10√3

Distance covered in 1 sec

S = ut + (1/2)at²

= 10√3 * 1  + (1/2)(-10)1²

= 10√3 - 5

= 12.32 m

Water will strike wall at 12.32 m height
