A hospital cafeteria has 20 tables.
65% of the tables have 6 chairs at each table.
The remaining 35% of the tables have 4 chairs at each table.

Complete the model.
Then complete the statements to find the total number of chairs in the hospital cafeteria.

Answer:

no. of chairs in the 65% of the tables with 6 chairs = [20(0.65)]*6 = 13*6 = 78

no. of chairs in the 35% of the tables with 4 chairs= [20(.35)]*4= 7*4 = 28

Total no. of chairs in the cafeteria = 78+28 = 106

OR

no. of chairs in cafeteria = {[20(0.65)]*6} + {[20(.35)]*4} = (13*6) + (7*4) = 78+28=106
