Explanation:

Given A hot air balloon has a volume of 2800m^3 at 99°C. What is the volume if the air cools at 80°C?

We know that according to Charle’s law

V/T = constant

We know that

V1/T1 = V2/T2

V1 = 2800 m^3 , T1 = 273 + 99 = 372 k , v2 = ?, T2 = 273 + 80 = 353 k

So 2800 / 372 = v2 / 353

V2 372 = 2800 x 353

V2 = 988400 / 372

V2 = 2656.98 m^3
