A hot air balloon is to be attached to the ground using two support ropes. One support is attached on one side of the balloon at an angle of elevation of 42°. The other support is attached on the other side of the balloon at an angle of elevation of 50°. The distance between the two locations on the ground where the supports are attached is 40 m. How long is the rope that is attached at the 42°?

pls mark me as brainliest if you are satisfied

Step-by-step explanation:

X1 + x2 = 40 m

tan42 =y/l1

tan50 =y/l2

0.9 = y/x1

1.19= y/x2

0.9 l1 +1.19 l2 = 40

cos 42 = x1/l1

Cos 50 = x2/l2

0.74 = x1/l1

0.64 = x2/l2

x1 = 40 - x2

l1 =( 40-x2)/0.74

Calculate y = Height of Balloon

and l1

Assuming size of balloon negligible
