1. If only one coil is used : R = 24 ohms
So current = potential difference / resistance = 220 / 24 = 9.16 amp
2. if the two coils are connected in series,
the effective resistance is 24+24 = 48 Ohm
current = 220 / 48 = 4.58 amp
3. if the two coils are in parallel, effective R = 24/2 = 12 ohms
current = 220/12 = 18.33 amp
So current = potential difference / resistance = 220 / 24 = 9.16 amp
2. if the two coils are connected in series,
the effective resistance is 24+24 = 48 Ohm
current = 220 / 48 = 4.58 amp
3. if the two coils are in parallel, effective R = 24/2 = 12 ohms
current = 220/12 = 18.33 amp
