Answer:

₹ 5,00,000 or 5 lakh rupees.

Step-by-step explanation:

See, when something is purchased and some money is spent on maintenance, we must add the CP and the maintenance (i. e. overhead expenses) to it to get the total CP.

Here, I will refer to combined CP as just CP and cost of house as Actual CP.

Actual CP = 50,00,000

SP = 60,50,000

% P = 10 %

CP = ?

CP = \frac{100}{100 + \% P} \times SP\\=\frac{100}{100+10} \times 60,50,000\\=\frac{100 \times 60,50,000}{110} =\frac{10 \times 60,50,000}{11}\\= 10 \times 5,50,000=55,00,000

Thus, CP = 55,00,000

CP = Actual CP + Overhead Expenses

Overhead Expenses = CP - Actual CP

= 55,00,000 - 50,00,000

= 5,00,000

Thus, ₹ 5,00,000 are spent on maintenance.

Hope this helps...
