HERE'S YOUR ANSWER

⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

GIVEN:

A HOUSEKEEPER MAKES AN INCREASE IN RENT OF =15%

MAKES A DECREASE IN RENT OF(AFTER SOME TIMES)=10%

FIND:

THE PERCENTAGE INCREASE IN THE ORIGINAL RENT

\huge\black{SOLUTION}

LET THE ORIGINAL RENT BE X

INCREASE IN X=X+15%

DECREASE INX=X-10%

15%+x=10%-x

x+x =10%-15%

2x =5%

x =5%/100

x =0.05

x=0.05/2

x=0.025+0.15(15%)-0.1(10%)

x=0.175-0.1

x=0.075

0.075=3.5\fbox{ANSWER}
