a house wife found that that the cake prepared by her is hard and small in size which ingredient has she forgotten to add that would have made the cake fluffy give reason

baking soda I.e.NaHCO^3

the lady forgot to add baking powder(nahco3).it becomes hard and small in size because no baking powder is  added which could make the dough of cake rise(big cake )  and will make it soft and fluffy ((not hard)
