1. In binary fission, the nucleus of the microorganism splits or divides into two and then the cell splits across the middle, forming two identical cells called the daughter cells. This is an asexual method.
2. Some plants like Moses and ferns bear spores on the underside of their leaves. The spores are light and are carried away by wind or insects to different places. On reaching suitable conditions for growth, spores give rise to new plants. This too is an asexual method.
