Step-by-step explanation:

Let ₹5 note be 'x' and ₹20 note be 'y'

x+y=11→(i)

5x+20y=100→(ii)

Multiply equation (i) by 5

5x+5y=55

5x+20y=100

Subtracting :

-15y = -45

15y = 45

y = 45/15

y = 3

Putting the value of 'y' in equation (i)

x+y=11

x+3 = 11

x = 11-3

x = 8

Therefore, Number of ₹5 notes is 8 and ₹20 notes is 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the 5 rupees note = x

And that of 20 rupees note = y

According to the question,

x + y = 11 ------eq(i)

5x + 20y = 100 ------eq(ii)

Multiplying eq(I) by 5

5x+ 5y= 55

substracting eq(i) from eq (ii)

5x - 5x + 20y - 5y = 100-55

15y = 45

y = 3

Hence 20 rupees note = 3

And 5 rupees note= 8
