Wife can do the work in 16 days ; therefore wife's one day's work =1/16

Child can do the work in 24 days ; therefore child's one day's work =1/24

h+w+c=1/6

w=1/16, c=1/24

Therefore h+w+c = h+1/16+1/24 which is equal to 1/6

Therefore h= 1/6-1/16-1/24=6/96=1/16

Therefore husband can alone do the work in 16 days
