(a) In the adjoining figure, AD =BD, ∠ABD = 65° and ∠DAC = 22°
(i) Find ∠ACD.
(ii) Show that BD >DC.

Answer:

Given = angle B is 65 and DAC is 22

AD = BD

To find = angle ACD

proof = In triangle ABD AD=BD

so it's an isosceles triangle

so ABD=BAD

That IS BAD=65

now BAC =22+65=87

now in triangle ABC

65+87+ACD=180(ANGLE SUM PROPERTY OF A TRIANGLE)

ACD=180-152=28

ACD=28

Now we have toh prove that BD IS GREATER THAN DC

in triangle ADC

AD is greater than DC(side opposite to greater angle is greater)

As AD = BD (GIVEN)

BD is greater than DC

HENCE PROVED
