23.8 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A can finish the work in x days and then B can finish the work in 2.5x days.

{Since, A is 2.5 times as good a workman as B.}

Now, A is able to finish the work in 50 days less than B.

Hence, 2.5x - x = 50

⇒ 1.5x = 50

x = 33.33 days

Hence, 2.5x = 83.33 days.

Now, A takes 33.33 days time to complete the work.

So, A in 1 day finishes 0.03 part of the work.

And B takes 83.33 days time to finish the work.

So, B  in 1 day finishes 0.012 part of the work.

Therefore, working together they finish (0.03 + 0.012) =0.042 part of work.

So, they will finish the job in \frac{1}{0.042} = 23.8 days. (Answer)
