let A age=x

B age=y

A.T.Q

x=2y...............(1.)

ten years as

age of A=(x-10)

age of B=(y-10)

again A.T.Q

x-10=4(y-10)

x-10=4y-40

x-4y=-40+10

x-4y =-30.....................(2.)

put the value of x in equation 2

2y-4y=-30

-2y=-30

y=30/2

y=15

put the value of y in equation 1.

x=2y

x=2×15

x=30

so the age of A=30 years

and the age of B=15 years
