Answer: b = 10 years

Step-by-step explanation:

a = b+2

b = 2c

so c = b/2

a+b+c = 27

b+2+b+b/2 = 27

2b+4+2b+b = 54

5b +4 = 54

5b = 50

b = 10

Let C's age be x years.

Then, B's age = 2x years and

A's age = (2x + 2) years

Given, 2x + 2 + 2x + x = 27

⇒ 5x + 2 = 27

⇒ 5x = 27 − 2 = 25

⇒ x = 5

∴ B's age = (2×5) years = 10 years.
