Also, given sum of the ages of A and B is 25. So,

AGE OF A + AGE OF B = 25 YEARS

OR, AGE OF A + AGE OF A + 5 = 25

OR, 2(AGE OF A) = 25 - 5 = 20 YEARS

This means that the age of A is 20 ÷ 2 or 10 years.

Hence, A is 10 years old.
