Given :

Jewellery shop sells 240 necklaces in a month

180 necklaces were sold by shops website & rest via shops

To Find :

Ratio of online sales to that of shop's sales in simplest form

Solution :

•Total necklaces sold by jewellery shop is 240

•180 necklaces were sold via online website

so, 60 necklaces are sold via shop's

•Required ratio is necklaces sold online to that of shop

so,

Required ratio = No. of necklaces sold online/No. of necklaces sold in shop

Required Ratio = 180/60

•In simpler form,

Required ratio = 3:1

which means sales through online shopping is three times to that of sales through shop.

•Hence required ratio is 3:1
