Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

a joker’s cap is in the form of a right circular cone of base radius 7cm and height 24cm.

To find:-

find the area of the sheet required to make 15 such caps?

Solution:-

A joker's cap is in the form of a right circular cone

Radius of the base of the cap=(r)=7 cm

Height of the cap =(h)=24 cm

Slant height of the cap =(l)=√(h^2+r^2) units

=>l=√(24^2+7^2)

=>l=√(576+49)

=>l=√625 cm

=>l=25 cm

Slant height of the cap =(l)=25 cm

Required area of the sheet of paper for making a joker's cap

=Curved Surface Area of the Cone

=πrl sq.units

=>(22/7)×7×25 sq.cm

=>(22×7×25)/7 sq.cm

=>22×25 sq.cm

=>550 sq.cm

Area of the sheet of paper for making a joker's cap=550 sq.cm

given number of such caps =15

Area of the sheet of paper for making 15 such caps=550×15=8250 sq.cm

Answer:-

the area of the sheet required to make 15 such caps =8250 sq.cm

Used formula:-

Curved surface area of the right circular cone

=πrl sq.units

Where,

π=22/7

r=radius of the cone

l=slant height of the cone

l=√(h^2+r^2) units

h=height of the cone
