Correct Question :

  • A joker's cap is in the form of right circular cone whose base radius is 7 cm and height is 24 cm find the area of sheet required to make 10 such caps

Given :

  • Radius of Cone = 7cm

  • Height of cone = 24cm

To Find :

  • Find the area of sheet required to make 10 such caps.

Solution :

Here in the question Radius of base is given 7 cm and Height is given 24cm and We need to find the area that is curved Surface Area. As, we know that Formula of Curved Surface of cone is πrl. So, Firstly we will the slant Height of cone. After Getting the slant height of The cone. By Putting values in the formula we will get the required the area of sheet required to make 10 caps

  • Radius (r) = 7cm

  • Height (h) = 24cm

Slant Height = r² + h²

⟼ Slant height = √(7)² + (24)²

⟼ Slant Height = √49 + 576

⟼ Slant Height = √625

⟼ Slant Height = 25cm

_____________

Curved Surface area = πrl

⟼ Curved Surface area = 22/7 × 7 × 25

⟼ Curved Surface area = 550cm²

_____________

Area of 10 Caps = 550 × 10

⟼ Area of 10 Caps = 5500cm²

_____________

Hence, Area of sheet 5500cm² is to required to make 10 such caps
