A kite is flying at a height of 60 m above the ground. The string attached to the kite is tied at the ground. It makes an angle of 60° with the ground. Assuming that the string is straight, find the length of the string. (√3 =1.73)

here's your answer _____⭐⭐

⭐seg AB represents the distance of a kite from ground.

∴ AB = 60 m

seg AC represents the length of the string

m ∠ ACB = 60º

❄In right angled ∆ ABC,

↪sin 600 = side opposite to 600/Hypotenuse

∴ sin 600 = AB/AC

∴ √3/2 = 60/AC

∴ AC = 120/√3

∴ AC = (120/√3)× (√3/√3)

∴ AC = 40√3 m

∴ AC = 40 × 1.73

∴  AC = 69.2 m

∴  The length of the string, assuming that there is no slack in the string is 69.2 m.
