Consider a kite A tied to a string AC flying at a height AB.
AB = 75 m
Measure of angle C = 60°
Using trigonometric function, sine on angle C in the triangle, we get
Sin C = AB/AC
Sin 60° = 75/h
√3/2 = 75/h
h = (75×2)/√3
h = 150/√3
h = 86.6
Therefore, the required length of the string tied to the kite is 87 m.
